Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern all photography services provided by Mario Vastola (“the Photographer”, “we”, “our”) to the Client (“you”).


By booking a session or using this website, you agree to these terms:

1. Booking & Deposit

  • A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking.

  • The remaining balance is due on or before the day of the session, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Bookings are confirmed only after payment of the deposit and receipt of a written confirmation from the Photographer.

2. Rescheduling & Cancellations

  • Rescheduling requests must be made at least 72 hours in advance.

  • If the Client cancels the session, the deposit is forfeited and non-transferable.

  • In case of severe weather, illness, or unforeseen circumstances, the Photographer may offer a new date without additional cost.

  • If the Photographer cancels for any reason, all payments (including deposit) will be refunded in full.

3. Delivery of Photos

  • Edited images will be delivered digitally within 7 to a specified number of working days, depending on the type of service.

  • The Photographer retains full artistic control over color grading, retouching, and editing style.

  • Raw/unedited files are not provided under any circumstance.

4. Copyright & Usage Rights

  • All photos remain the intellectual property of the Photographer under international copyright law.

  • The Client receives a personal usage license (for private sharing, print, and personal use).

  • Commercial use (advertising, business promotion, etc.) requires a separate commercial license or written authorization.

  • The Photographer may use selected images for portfolio, social media, website, and promotional purposes, unless the Client explicitly requests otherwise in writing before the shoot.

5. Client Conduct

  • The Client is responsible for arriving on time and prepared for the session.

  • Delays exceeding 30 minutes may result in session reduction or cancellation without refund.

  • The Photographer reserves the right to terminate the session if unsafe, disrespectful, or inappropriate behavior occurs.

6. Liability

  • The Photographer is not liable for injuries, loss, or damages during the session.

  • While all due care is taken, liability for loss of images due to equipment malfunction, theft, or accident is limited to the amount paid by the Client.

7. Confidentiality & Data Protection

  • All personal data collected is handled in compliance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR).

  • Personal data (name, email, phone, etc.) will be used solely for communication and service delivery.

8. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Portuguese law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lisbon, Portugal.
