Most trips can't carry both a photographer and a drone operator. Some can barely carry one extra person. I work as both: stills and aerial from the same days on the road, with a kit light enough to travel wherever the group goes.

I've spent ten years photographing in places that don't make it easy: long days, harsh light, rough ground, buildings nobody has entered for decades.
